National seminar in North Macedonia
Over a fascinating weekend settled in the charming setting of Popova Sapka Mountain in Macedonia, a
dynamic and diverse group of individuals, including members, co-workers from various youth
organizations in Kumanovo and the surrounding region, youth workers, and teachers, gathered for an
inspiring experience. This gathering marked a significant breakthrough in the “EcoPatrols4Environmental
Goals” project, where participants investigated the innovative methods developed as part of the project
Manual, tested how the methods work in practice and provided a valuable feedback to project team in
Macedonia.
From the 8th to the 10th of December, the collective enthusiasm of the participants led to the
successful testing of three modules from the EcoPatrol Manual. These modules, namely Module 8 –
Environmental Activism, Module 3 – Waste, and Module 6 – Water, provided a broad understanding of
environmental issues and equipped the participants with practical tools to address them. The weekend
served as a testament to the commitment of the group towards the project’s overarching goals.
A standout activity during the event was the engaging and inspiring experience of participating in a
protest—an example of the newfound knowledge and passion for environmental activism. This hands-
on approach not only deepened the participants’ understanding of the subject but also emphasized the
importance of actively contributing to positive change.
The weekend was not only a platform for learning but also for the exchange of ideas and experiences.
Valuable feedback was collected from the participants, insights ready to be shared with partner
organizations. This collaborative effort ensures that the knowledge gained is disseminated widely,
increasing the impact of the project across various communities.
A note of gratitude was extended to all participants for fostering energetic and positive atmosphere
throughout the weekend. The success of the activities and the shared commitment to environmental
goals were a direct result of effective teamwork and collaboration.
The “EcoPatrols4Environmental Goals” project continues to be example of inspiration, bringing together
motivated individuals and organizations dedicated to making a noticeable difference in the world. As we
reflect on this transformative weekend in Popova Sapka, the ripple effect of environmental awareness
and activism is to extend far beyond, creating a lasting impact on our communities and the planet as a
whole.
